At American Firearm Training, LLC we get very sad when we have to turn people away. Please book and pre-pay early! Keep in mind that your license can take up to 3 months to receive in the mail after you get fingerprinted. You will need to do this after you take our class at the Sheriff's department in the county of your residence.  We have a minimum of 5 required to reserve the classroom.

THE NEW CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY LAW WENT INTO AFFECT ON 11/1/2019. IF YOU ARE LEGALLY ABLE TO PURCHASE A FIREARM, HAVE NO DISQUALIFYING ISSUES, AND ARE A US CITIZEN THEN YOU NO LONGER NEED A LICENSE TO CARRY IN OKLAHOMA. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STILL GET THE SDA LICENSE, TAKE CLASSES TO LEARN THE LAWS AND BECOME MORE COMFORTABLE AND SAFE WITH YOUR FIREARM. ALSO IF YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF OKLAHOMA PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU KNOW THE LAWS OF THE STATES YOU WILL BE TRAVELLING THROUGH (YOU MAY STILL NEED THE OKLAHOMA SDA LICENSE).  

VERY IMPORTANT INFO: The range qualification portion of the class will be after lunch. IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN FIREARM AND AMMO IT MUST BE INSIDE A GUN CASE AND YOU MUST SECURE IT IN YOUR CAR!  DO NOT BRING ANY GUNS OR AMMUNITION INTO THE CLASSROOM. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE CLASSROOM WITHOUT REFUND.

• The State of Oklahoma law concerning Self Defense with a handgun. 
• When a person may use deadly force to protect themselves and family members and types of places where carrying a gun is prohibited. 
• Safe firearms handling in public, at home and on the range.
• Basic handling of a semi-auto pistol. This includes proper methods for loading and unloading semi-auto handguns as well as how to rack the slide, lock it back and magazine feeds. 
• Learn the most important fundamentals of handgun shooting (accuracy)
• How to apply for the Oklahoma Concealed Carry license. 

This class is taught by Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (O.S.B.I.) and Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training (C.L.E.E.T.) certified instructor Mrs. Dan`niel McKnight, CRSO.  The course is as prescribed by the Oklahoma Self-Defense Act (Title 21, Oklahoma Statues, Section 1290.1 et seq.) to meet the educational requirements to qualify for an Oklahoma Concealed Carry License. 

COST:

Your total cost for this one day course is $125 with your gun and ammo OR $150 if you need to rent our gun. Ammo is included only if you rent our gun(s) and it will be 22LR only. If using our gun please bring $25 cash with you to class. YOU MUST PRE PAY TO RESERVE A SPACE IN THE CLASS! This includes classroom, firearms training, and the range qualification supervised by a certified instructor. 

IMPORTANT: THE RANGE QUALIFICATION IS REQUIRED BY THE STATE TO RECEIVE YOUR CARRY CONCEAL LICENSE AND IS NOT OFFERED WITH OTHER ONLINE COURSES.  HANDS ON FIREARMS TRAINING IS CRUCIAL FOR LEARNING HOW TO SAFELY USE YOUR FIREARM. BEWARE OF "ONLINE" CARRY CONCEAL COURSES!

Bring with you to class:
MOST IMPORTANT IS A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!

• baseball style hat
• eye and ear protection
• bring a sack lunch and drinks (snacks & drinks can be purchased from the range). There are no restaurants in the area so we need to stay on location during lunch. 
• pen and paper for note taking 
• an Oklahoma government ID
• bug spray (range is outdoors)
• $25 cash if you are using AFT gun & ammo
• If you are bringing your own gun/ammo please bring all of your extra magazines to make it quicker to do your 50 rounds on the range. If you are comfortable loading your magazines safely with the correct ammo for your gun, please bring them already loaded but DO NOT BRING THEM INTO THE CLASSROOM. 
• IF YOU ARE BRINGING YOUR OWN FIREARM AND AMMO IT MUST BE INSIDE A GUN CASE AND YOU MUST SECURE IT IN YOUR CAR!  DO NOT BRING ANY AMMUNITION or GUNS INTO THE CLASSROOM. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE CLASSROOM WITHOUT REFUND.
• We recommend that you qualify with a semi-auto pistol and you will need 50 rounds of ammo
• DRESS IN LAYERS! THE CLASSROOM IS INDOORS AND THE RANGE IS OUTDOORS.
